If you are considering a facelift, you are probably concerned because you don’t want to look too different. You would probably desire that your friends and relatives don’t realise that you’ve had the surgery! In other words, you want to look refreshed rather than different after a facelift. You are probably also concerned about the possibility of complications. For these reasons, at Pasricha Hospital we have developed minimally invasive techniques designed to remove the excess skin, tighten the facial muscles and avoid risk of injury to the facial nerve.
The procedure for Face Lift & Neck Lift Surgery
A face lift & neck lift involves the skilful and careful removal of excess facial skin from the neck, chin and cheek areas, under general anaesthetic. The Surgeon may also tighten the underlying muscles and reposition the facial tissue. The scars will be hidden around your ears or in your hairline and will usually fade over time. The procedure, which normally takes 2 to 3 hours, usually requires an overnight stay in hospital.
Recovery from Face Lift & Neck Lift Surgery
Following the operation, you may experience some bruising and swelling. Stitches will be removed at between 7 to 14 days. By this time you should be able to resume your normal day-to-day activities with few exceptions. |
